  • Sound quality The sound is premium. Just like the price great!
  • Design and form factor Leather and metal are nice. However i find I must adjust them to my head every time I take them out of the travel case good
  • Comfort For me, I find them a bit uncomfortable during extended periods of use. Perhaps my ears need to get used to them more so-so
  • Noise isolation I do not hear what is going on around me, but as you walk around you can hear your steps clearly in the headphones (vibration more than sound) good
  • Durability Hoping the cable is durable, but I don't see the actual headphone unit having issues good
Detailed review
This was a long debated purchase of mine. I usually listen to music on the go, and I had concerns about this set of headphone's durability and portability. When I heard Bowers and Wilkins were making a smaller P3 headphones, I wanted to compare the two side by side to make a decision.

I went down to my local Apple store where both models were on display, plugged my iPod into each and listened for a while. I thought the P5's had a much better sound, but they do not fold up like the P3's do. However the P5's fold flat, so arguably in the end they may be more portable than the hard shell of the P3s

I have really enjoyed these headphones, and hearing more minute details of my music. I am still on the fence whether this was a good use of $300, but only time will tell.

These look like the speakers sit flush against your ears, is it less comfortable than other over-the-ear headsets which create a hollow where you ear goes inside?

They do technically sit flush against your ears, however the padding is made with some (for a lack of a better word) acoustic memory foam, so your ears kind of "sink" into the padding creating a seal. They are becoming more comfortable as I get used to them (I have had them since August 3rd) but there definitely has been an adjustment phase.

My old Bose around ear (AE) headphones were definitely more comfortable the whole way through their lifespan. If the P5's achieve that level after some breaking in of the foam or my ear I will be quite satisfied.
