HTC Hero: Anyone figured out how to use custom message tones?
I know you can set any mp3 as a ringtone but is there a way to do this with text messages? I know on the G1 you make a folder called notifications and put the tone in there but I have tried this and it hasn't worked. Anyone got any ideas? Read more »
Apple iPad: iPad bluetooth supports Apple Wireless Keyboard!
Just noticed this on Apple's iPad Design page: "iPad also comes with Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, letting you connect to devices like wireless headphones or the Apple Wireless Keyboard." http://www.apple.com/ipad/design/ From what I hear, the iPad keyboard is good, but not great. I don't know if I'll ever be using the iPad for any serious word processing or anything like that, but the Apple Wireless Keyboard is very small and if I thought I might need it I wouldn't... Apple iPhone 3GS: Is your 3GS Still...Oleophobic?
I've been using my phone much more lately, thanks to more work coming in and the recent Game Developer's Conference, and I noticed that fingerprints are more prevalent on my 3GS. I've had it for 6-7 months, and it's got it's wear and tear, but I've treated it well, and it's in perfect working order. But the screen is getting harder and harder to clean, and fingerprints just stick to it much more easily. Is anyone else having this problem? Read more »

Google issues statement on Nexus One sales, touts Android Market's 30,000 apps
Numbers released by Flurry Analytics yesterday suggested that Google's Nexus One had sold around 135,000 units in 74 days (the same amount of time it took the iPhone to hit a million) -- not a staggering number by any measure. Now, we don't really have any way to assess the accuracy of Flurry's data, but we spoke with Google's team about a few things, and here's what they had to say... Full story

Peek Peek Pronto: Invaluable for road trips
I just took an 11-day road trip, driving from California to Utah to Minnesota, and back via Arizona. During my trip, I was concerned that using my smartphone for email and Twitter would result in roaming charges, so I turned it off when I wasn't in large cities where I figured Verizon had coverage. On the highway in between, I used my Peek Pronto to keep in touch. It almost always had a signal, and I was able to check email, use Peek's associated search features to find hotels and... T-Mobile goes official with HTC HD2 launch details: March 24th for $200
We've heard it all before , but it's always nice to get a modicum of legitimacy from an official source. T-Mobile has now officially announced the released details for the HTC HD2 -- you know, that phone who's cool factor has dropped a few Mega Fonzies since we confirmed once and for all it wasn't getting a Windows Phone 7 upgrade .
