Like the Apparent Doxie Go and other portable scanners, the Xerox Mobile Scanner lets you scan receipts, business cards and other documents on the go, without having to connect to a computer. Unlike its competitors, the Mobile Scanner makes novel use of an Eye-Fi SD card, which, in addition to letting it store up to 4GB worth of scans, also enables wireless uploads of scans to computers, smartphones, and cloud-based servers. At 1.5 pounds, the Xerox is heavier than the Doxie, but if you have a lot of documents to scan, and want to transfer them to your computer or phone without wires, it may be worth the weight.

The Xerox Mobile Scanner can scan without a computer, send files to your Android or iOS device with WiFi so you can see the scans, and automatically upload them elsewhere as well.
Read the full review →The Xerox Mobile Scanner is an efficient and well-built device; the way in which the Eye-Fi card adds to the ease of moving your scans to your computer, smartphone or tablet gives it extra points.
Read the full review →Despite its relatively long scan times and its lack of customization options, the $249 Xerox Mobile Scanner stands out in a big way, thanks its wireless scanning capabilities. Color photos may not be its forte, but this device performs extremely well when it comes to document scans.
Read the full review →While the top resolution of 300ppi limits the scanner’s use for photos, it’s adequate for text pages. A strong software bundle and reasonable price make this is a very well-balanced portable scanning solution.
Read the full review →It's also fast, small, and has a decent battery, so while it's heavier than some of the competition, it's worth the extra weight.
Read the full review →The original review of this product is not accurate. The doxie go can also accomodate an EyeFi card and allow wireless scanning and uploading to a comuputer/android/iOS device. Of the two I use the doxie go more often because of the weight advantages.
