It was my first Black Friday, and it was one of the most hilarious experiences :) This was a great deal and I'm super happy with the picture quality. The sound quality isn't the best, so I'll be trying out some surround sound soon, any suggestions?
After researching a lot of TV's a year ago, I found that (even with is faults) this 1080p 42" flatscreen was a damn good deal coming in under $1000. My other option would've been a 42" 720p Sony at $1200. BIg plus is it has 4 HDMI ports (although they can't be calibrated separately) One major problem is the audio/speakers are pretty bad. BUT if you have a system plug it into (which you should if you're gonna use this TV properly) then it's all good.
I've had this TV for a couple years, and overall, it's pretty good. At the time I got it, it was significantly cheaper than comparable models from the big brands, and had plenty of inputs for my needs (HDMI, 2 sets of component inputs, S-video, VGA, and several I don't even know what they're for). However, there's one annoying factor about this TV that there's never been a fix for, as far as I know. You can select whether you want the internal speakers or the RCA audio...

Not sure if it's acceptable to do this or not, but Target is selling this model right now as a 'Clearence' item. I picked it up for about $350. Good price and it's not a bad TV.
I bought this monitor roughly a year ago for just $120 and it has been great for that price. It has great colors, it's very sharp and has a very simple and attractive aesthetic.
I have 2 Westinghouse TV's and the fact that the remotes only has one HDMI button sucks. I often have to use the input key and select the specific HDMI port I want to watch and even then with my XBox 360 and my PC I often get "No Device Connected" and have to reboot the equipment for the HDMI to detect it... is there some firmware upgrade or hack that fixes this?
Anybody else seeing crazy Blue Interference lines in white areas of their screen? They come and go randomly. I found that if I turn the colors down a bit, it corrects. Is it going bad?
Does anyone else with an LVM-47w1 have theirs wall mounted? The mount points on the back of this panel seem extremely close together and poorly done. I've got a Monoprice tilting mount, and I'm about to move it to the other side of my living room. I'm just hoping the weak mount-points withstand being moved around for a second install. Is there any way to mount this with brackets that are farther apart for better support?
Has anyone found the refresh rates on this monitor? I'm running into an issue with my Fedora 11 x86_64 and nVidia GeForce 8600 GT. It worked fine on Fedora 10, but now it's losing the signal. Most support forums told me to manually input the horizontal/vertical refresh rate. I wish the product site actually had this information!
