The Western Digital My Passport Studio is a quick and affordable way to add up to a terabyte of storage to your Mac, thanks to its fast FireWire 800 port (compatible with all current Macs other than the MacBook Air). If you're not a Mac user, you can reformat it and it will work with your PC's USB connection, but if you've got a newer computer equipped with a fast USB 3.0 port, you should hold out for a drive that supports it.

This works perfectly with my Mac pretty much just plug and play. I'd recommend it to anybody though you can definitely get cheaper options. The firewire was the main selling point, though it hardly matters because I run back ups at night so speed isn't really an issue.
