Who's in the market for a new HDTV? Not me, that's for sure. After hearing that this will likely only be useful for people with tvs that have come out very recently I think it's a bummer. I guess this is how Roku gets out of the set top box market--because if it doesn't look like a set top box, but it plays like a set top box and smells like a set top box, maybe it isn't a set top box? Because, you know, people hate set top boxes. I agree that buying a Smart TV isn't a good decision with how fast...

With holiday shopping in full swing I am looking into a blu ray player as a gift. Looks like in general they have come down considerably in price (and will continue with 3D players slowly coming out), but IMO a quality blu ray player should have netflix enabled and it should be able to connect via wifi. Looking through the list of players fairly quickly it seemed that so far only the LG BD 570 catches my eye as being the most reasonably priced. I am also assuming that, like DVD player, all blu...

While it was on, there was a crack, then a black screen. Called Costco support and they were going to schedule a repair, but since I bought it before Costco changed their return policy limiting the returns of electronics to 2 years, I was in luck. I just loaded it up with the box (Had it stored in the attic of my business), manual and remote. On the spot Costco issued me a credit in the form of Gift card for $1,649! Enough to buy two 50 inch Panasonic Plasmas ($699 ea) and Still have $249 left...
VIZIO XVT472SV - Slide program won't run with a JPEG photo that has been edited and saved as a JPEG in photo shop CS3. When photo is entered into the VIZIO slide program it creates a separate file folder for each picture with the same file name as the picture. As slide program indexes through photos, it attempts to open each file folder as though it was a photo & displays a photo error message. Can VIZIO fix their program, I'd love to use this feature.
I am a complete noob when it comes to hooking up laptops to moniters. Does anyone know how or have a link to how to hook up a MBP to the LED display? Also, is it possible to connect it to 2 LED displays from one macbook? ive seen on youtube where they just move the mouse across towards the other display, and it moves to that one... sorry for the noob question. Thanks in advance!
I want to know about the Vizio's 37 inches, 120 Hz LCD TV, I could see in the specifications that it can take both 110 and 230 volts, but except for one place, I could not get the confirmation that this has an Analog PAL Tuner or not? Any valuable advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
I ordered it and get it in time for christmas. Will give my review once I've had time to play with it. Anyone else getting this set? So excited as this is my first HDTV
Although this is an awesome TV, with plenty on inputs and some semi ok speakers, it's still an LCD. The black looks OK when there is a lot of light in the room, but once the room is dark the black is almost light grey. To most HD TV enthusiasts this is common knowledge, but in case you didn't know: - Plasma for darker rooms and LDC for lighter rooms, although Plasma has come a long way and some of them look good in either dark or light rooms. Costco $1400 in September 2007.

I'm currently looking for a replacement for my 42" Westinghouse LCD that's just started showing image persistence and banding after two years. I'd really prefer not to have to buy another screen two years from now, but I'm also a cheapskate. Anyone know the likelihood of this thing crapping out on me in a year or two?
I was roflstomping some noobs in bf3 last night when all of a sudden my tv froze and audio stopped. This last for about 3 to 4 seconds at which point the screen turned off. The Vizio logo on the front of the tv changed from the "on" status to the "off" status about 7 times. Then the tv turned back on, at which point some noob had stolen my dog tags. Needless to say I was humiliated.
This happened to me a couple months ago. Anybody have any clue why this is happening?
I do not want to convert the signal to analog, i want to keep them digital. I am looking for a low cost solution that would allow me to plug in my coax and then output via hdmi into my receiver.
I wanna get a new tv for my bedroom, so not huge tv. My son asked me to get a 37" Vizio, cuz he think it is cheap. I'm worried about the quality and don't want a crap tv! I never used a Vizio, so any suggestions?
The pictures great but the sound isn't working well at all. The sound plays on the (much nicer) TV speaker. But it also plays on the tinny, shoddy laptop speakers as well. I can't find anyway to fix this. The computer only shows one playback device. The driver is fully updated according to the device manager and I can't think of what else to do so. Anybody had success getting audio out who can share some wisdom? Thanks.
This has only happened once, so its not really a concern to me yet, but if it continues I won't be so happy. I was playing Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox over component set to 1080p with your standard Red/White audio connectors, nothing fancy. In the middle of the match the sound just stopped, I thought that I had been hit by a flashbang or something, then it continued silent despite my turning the volume up/down. I switched inputs and then back to the Xbox and the sound came back. I'm not...

Anyone having issues with their SV370XVT making their DVDs look like BBC documentaries? The manual says it is supposed to recognize the 24fps of films, but my TV definitely is not doing that. Special effects suddenly look like 1960's Dr. Who ripoffs. Solutions?
I updated the screen resolution in the specs for this item on GDGT. I ran into overscan issues with my laptop. I corrected it by changing the output on my laptop to 1366x768 using DTD Calculator. I have noticed a green tint to some items when I do output, although this could very easily be my computer as any other hdmi sources look fantastic.
I have been trying to tweak my component video quality and for the life of me I cannot get the contrast/brightness to not be crappy. It seems at any setting there is either no contrast or everything is too white. I tried using 2 different DVD players and a Wii. Dark areas in movies are grayish and it looks like everything is washed out. Anyone else have this problem? Composite/S-video, RGB (computer) and HDMI are all great, component sucks.
