Chances are, if you like the look of these, you'll like the music the designers clearly like, and they'll be just right for you.

The Crossfade M-80 from v-moda is the smaller, on-ear version of the company's Crossfade LP headphone. While they may be smaller, they still retain the company's signature industrial design, and though it may not be for everyone Gadget Review says the "way they blend form and function makes their products look sleek and sexy." Looks are one part of the design equation and comfort is the other. Sound+Vision calls them "the most comfortable on-ear phones," however Gadget Review points out the material of the earcups "doesn’t let air flow easily at all" and The Gadgeteer says "they begin to feel tight after about 3 hours" but if "listening times are kept below a few hours, they feel just fine." Despite their issues with comfort The Gadgeteer did find that the M-80's "superior accuracy is hard to ignore." Inner Fidelity calls them a "truly excellent sounding headphone," and iLounge agrees, saying that "the new Crossfades sounded pretty close to great right away."

The V-Moda Crossfade M-80 offers an alluring, on-ear design and enjoyable audio performance. But with some distortion at high volumes, this pair doesn’t quite compete with other headphones in this price range.

Read the full review →So ladies, if you are looking for a stylish, but durable audio experience, the V-Moda White Pearl M-80′s could be your next go-to pair of headphones.
Read the full review →While the $230 MSRP is, like Crossfade LP, higher than we’d originally expected for this model, there’s no question that these are the sort of very good headphones that are worthy of a design premium, and we offer our strong general recommendation to both versions.
Read the full review →While the price point is a bit high for my liking ... the materials used in construction could be a valid excuse/reason for that. In the end, even with a piss poor mic, I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a new pair of on ear headphones.
Read the full review →If you have the LPs and are happy with them, then save your money. However, I would recommend the M-80s over the LPs if you own neither.
Read the full review →The Crossfade M-80 makes a great pair of headphones for the everyday use. Their light weight when compared to the LP2s and pack in some great sound to boot. I especially love the noise cancellation as during a daily commute to and from work, I get to listen to my music and only my music. No...
Read the full review →This is my newest pair of headphones, and easily my favorite – even though I only just received them in the mail a few days ago. The moment you put on these babies, you KNOW they come from the hands of some very knowledgeable industry folks. Built like a monster, they still manage to be the...
Read the full review →The v-Moda Crossfade M-80s are the first set of on-ear headphones I have purchased. I'm an avid quality ear bud fan, and even have a pair of v-Moda buds that I love. But I was looking for a different sound experience, and one that clearly tells my coworkers "Don't bother me right now". First,...
Read the full review →Got obsessed with these after reading all the solid reviews on Headfi. Here's a breakdown: Most durable headphones I've ever encountered. I've twisted them band obnoxiously in every direct and then still look and function like their brand new. Sound quality is top notch. I've tried quite a few...
Read the full review →Part of my problem is the fact that I cannot get a good fit with these cans. The headphones have a cathedral window design that will not seal around my ears. The Senn HD 25's are better headphones for around the same money. Under no circumstance do these cans deserve a 90 rating. That is just...
Read the full review →The sound of this rivals that of my old Bose QC3 and my Shure SE530 . I like the customizable plates, too bad it doesn't come in more colors for the M-80. I'm not too impressed with the noise cancellation, but I guess it was ne4ver marketed that way. Overall I am very impressed with these...
