Conclusion: We like it
The Crossfade M-80 from v-moda is the smaller, on-ear version of the company's Crossfade LP headphone. While they may be smaller, they still retain the company's signature industrial design, and though it may not be for everyone Gadget Review says the "way they blend form and function makes their products look sleek and sexy." Looks are one part of the design equation and comfort is the other. Sound+Vision calls them "the most comfortable on-ear phones," however Gadget Review points out the material of the earcups "doesn’t let air flow easily at all" and The Gadgeteer says "they begin to feel tight after about 3 hours" but if "listening times are kept below a few hours, they feel just fine." Despite their issues with comfort The Gadgeteer did find that the M-80's "superior accuracy is hard to ignore." Inner Fidelity calls them a "truly excellent sounding headphone," and iLounge agrees, saying that "the new Crossfades sounded pretty close to great right away."
