In a recent gdgt blog post around the time of the AMD event in Seattle there was a mention that another gdgt event is being planned for the Seattle area later this summer. Has a date been already set?
The remote is at chest level, much different than than the apple headphones that you may be used to. Sound quality is great though. I returned mine because of the sharp corners.
I know I've had a few headphones in the past and the ear pieces would hurt after a while. I love the cushioning that is on these headphones. I, also, loved how it twists and stretches out. The fact that I was still able to hear the deep bass beats when the sound was turned down.
The bass and treble were certainly pronounced (my EQ preference anyway). Sound isolation was also very good. Being in a crowded scene was certainly a great testament to the quality isolation. If you're looking for over the ear headphones in this price range, I wouldn't hesitate.
They now make their way into the over-the-ear headphone realm with the Crossfade LP headset. Boasting 50mm dual diaphragm high definition drivers, Kevlar-reinforced cables, and a stellar half metal/half fabric body, V-Moda looks to continue their fantastic line of headphone products for a reasonable $250. Competing with the well-established Beats by Dr. Dre line of over-the-ear headphones and earbuds, how do you think the Crossfade's stack up?
Hey, I'm looking to get some earbuds for a friend, and I'm considering these. I have the Vibe II, and am generally happy with them (so far they haven't broken on me), and I was wondering how these compare with those, as well as how they fair in general. Any input from owners would be appreciated.
Anyone out there have this yet? I've heard some bad things bout the build quality of the Vibe headphones, and I'd like to hear more before taking the plunge... Cheers!
I got these on the cheap at Costco so my girlfriend would stop stealing my Bose In-Ear Headphones! I thought they would be alright, but they had great sound quality and were super small and minimalist! I love these little guys!
As a previous consumer of V-Moda products, I am well versed on the perks and pitfalls of their designs. I have owned, at various points, the Bass Freq, the Vibe, the Vibe Duo (once I got the iPhone), and am now considering the Vibe ii. Although the sound quality was not as high, the Bass Freq was pretty sturdy by my own experience. The Vibes also lasted quite a while. However, the Vibe Duo was a disaster. Like many people, I had to send mine in like 4 or 5 times, eventually giving up on them...

I mean, not that I expected the phone/playback controls to work when I got my iPhone 3G S, but I was hoping lol. Callers have said they hear a weird high pitched noise when I use the headphones to answer a call. Oh well...guess it's time to use that bluetooth earpiece I've stashed away :(
Ok so this might be more of a general headphone question but why do I sometimes have to twist the headphones around in the jack to get them to work right? Because sadly this is happening to my headphones now.
My V-Moda Duo's won't work in a voice call, and don't control the music correctly. I posted the issue over at TiPB, and another user is having the same problem with Skull Candy headphones. His theory is that it might be an issue with the built-in noise-cancellation mic, and he has a call in to Apple Experts to check in. Anyone else having the issue?
when actually DJing with them in front of club monitors), etc? Comfort and durability are something both seem to boast heavily (though I do hear that the Pioneers are built like a tank)...
