With the Warhead 7.1, Tritton delivers very good simulated surround sound to Xbox 360 users. More significantly, it's the first fully wireless third-party headset for the Xbox 360. It also has very good battery life, and solid, interference-free wireless performance. However, at $300, it's priced on par with the gdgt Must-have Astro Gaming A50, a cross-platform headset that offers a nearly wireless experience with the Xbox 360. If you must go fully wireless, and you'll only be using your headset with an Xbox 360, the Warhead is a the best available option. Otherwise, the A50 is a more versatile choice.

It delivers premium quality 7.1 surround sound, something not even Microsoft's first-party hardware does. That makes it a product without peer, mainly by merit of not being tethered to your controller or having to spend a half-hour behind your television rerouting audio signals.

This is a really good gaming headset for an xbox. That is the trick though, for xbox. If you were intending to hook this up to several devices and switch back and forth it would be a pain and the mic wouldn't go. The fact it comes with dual batteries so you charge one while using the other is...

The sound quality and sound stage wre both excellent . The orange tritton logo of yesteryear gone and I think this new silver acscent look looks phenomenal and as with all trittons it's looks like it just came out of a science fiction movie and the base stand could pass as a futuristic missile...
