If you're willing to let go of a little fidelity and EQ customizability, the Warhead 7.1 offers the best overall user experience we've seen in an Xbox 360 headset.

With the Warhead 7.1, Tritton delivers very good simulated surround sound to Xbox 360 users. More significantly, it's the first fully wireless third-party headset for the Xbox 360. It also has very good battery life, and solid, interference-free wireless performance. However, at $300, it's priced on par with the gdgt Must-have Astro Gaming A50, a cross-platform headset that offers a nearly wireless experience with the Xbox 360. If you must go fully wireless, and you'll only be using your headset with an Xbox 360, the Warhead is a the best available option. Otherwise, the A50 is a more versatile choice.

If you were intending to hook this up to several devices and switch back and forth it would be a pain and the mic wouldn't go. The fact it comes with dual batteries so you charge one while using the other is...
