With so many other Windows 8 convertibles available or arriving soon, we suspect your money would be better spent elsewhere.

There are a lot of Windows 8 hybrid tablets hitting the market. Some, like the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 and Dell XPS 12, manage to be innovative, useful devices. Others, like the Satellite U925t, are interesting, but, in the end, just not the most practical computers. As Engadget puts it, the U925t's slide-out keyboard "makes for a compromised typing experience" and "battery life is shorter" than the XPS 12 and Yoga, "and the build quality isn't as robust." Wired says the U925t's "low-resolution screen is iffy on tap recognition" and adds that "performance is strictly average." In the end, we'd have to agree with Engadget's conclusion that "with so many other Windows 8 convertibles available or arriving soon, we suspect your money would be better spent elsewhere."
