I figure if it's good enough for netbooks, it's good enough for this thing. I have to rebuild after a run-in with some unremovable malware on XP, and I've had good luck with 7 on a desktop machine. The installation was fast, and it impressively seems to have found all the drivers it needed for sound, video, USB 2.0, etc. that are such a pain with XP. Day 1: So far, so good.

Does anyone still use this laptop?
I had to abandon mine because of connectivity issues, but has anyone survived that and can still use it? (Mine's in a bag in pieces. Waiting to recycle it)

How to take apart the Satellite M35
I've used this page multiple times to replace the LCD and replace the fan. Beware when you put the screws back in that you have the right size screws in the right holes. I had a bump on the palm rest by screwing in a larger screw in a shorter screw hole. http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba_Sate...

I don't actually have this...
I have a Toshiba Satellite M35X-S1142. Big difference, I know, but I'm adding this because it's the closest thing currently in the database (which is currently still closed to new entries) and I want to see if I can "un-have" something later, without "had-ing" it. I was skeptical of gdgt at first, "bah more social networking bullcrap," but now I'm really liking it.
