Conclusion: Pass on it

If you're looking to spend $400 on a laptop, and get a 15-inch display, full-size keyboard, and decent battery life, you'll find it in the Toshiba Satellite C655. But you'll also find an underpowered computer with sluggish performance, limited graphics capabilities, and no HDMI port (it does include VGA, though). While the C655's limitations might be acceptable if you're only using it for basic web surfing or email, an extra $100 or so will get you a more capable (though still limited) laptop, such as the HP g6, which includes HDMI, has better graphics capabilities, and is a stronger overall performer.
