Conclusion: We're mixed

The TDK 3 Speaker Boombox weighs in at 26 pounds, requires 12 D batteries for power if you decide that it's not too heavy to take with you, doesn't have any wireless functionality or a remote, and sells for close to $400. But it's so loud that its volume knob literally goes to 11, it can double as a guitar amp, it's got an AM/FM radio, and if you're over a certain age (or have spent too much time watching certain late 20th Century movies), you may find its retro styling irresistible.

TDK's Three Speaker Boombox is as beautiful as it is powerful, but the hefty design does not travel well.

...we would have liked some Obama-era amenities like a remote or Bluetooth...Low-rent antenna and lack of wireless functionality are unacceptable at this price.

There's no denying the massive TDK 3 Speaker Boombox looks good—and it often sounds very good, too—but it isn't without issues, and at 26 pounds, it's not all that portable.
