The Suunto Ambit is an incredibly powerful piece of outdoor tech, and in some ways is a victim of this fact. Without personalisation it can seem overwhelming, and even the process of configuring it can seem overly complex.

I've been waiting for this to become available ever since hearing rumours of a Suunto GPS watch back in January. I had been on the verge of getting a Garmin 610 or 910XT when I heard about it, and decided to wait to see more info, based on previous experience with both Garmin and Suunto watches....
