If you want a gaming mouse you can use with either hand, I'd say you can't do better than Xai, though I might wait until it's a little bit cheaper.

Marketed as a first-person-shooter gaming mouse, the SteelSeries Xai succeeds in comfort and features, but falls short on the battlefield.

The Xai is an excellent product that proves a mouse doesn't need to be custom-moulded to the right hand to be good for gaming. Throw in the detailed control panel and excellent performance, and you have a mouse that's well worth parting your hard-earned cash on.

An elegant, functional, and attractive mouse, best suited for those with normal-sized or smaller hands. Aficionados may crave more buttons or a non-ambidextrous design, but the Xai does just fine without. Like other SteelSeries products, it’s a bit expensive, but you knew that.

Despite being ambidextrous it's incredibly comfortable, tracking is exceptional, and the level of customisation on offer puts other mice to shame. Considering you can buy one for just £50 we cannot recommend it highly enough.

If you have the money and you are looking for a great gaming mouse, pick up the Xai. Even when I find the Ikari more comfortable with its unique contour design, Xai is technologically more advanced than the Ikari, a greater CPI, and the ability to change the mouse settings without any software.

It’s a well made ambidextrous mouse that feels comfortable, but at £60 the only reason to buy it is if you’re one of the few that can take advantage of its twitchy precision and purist accuracy and tracking.

Infinitely customizable where it counts, incredibly smooth and comfortable to use the Xai is one of the best mice on the market today, whether you are a gamer or not.

Although the configuration utility could use an update to rid it of some rough edges, the mouse itself is the best I've ever owned.
