The Sony Xperia U is a good phone, if you are looking for something a little smaller. It is perfectly capable for most daily-use situations. It plays your media well, and snaps photos and videos that will be fine for most pedestrian users.

The Xperia U is the smallest member of Sony's Xperia family, with a 3.5-inch screen. While that screen is fairly sharp and bright, its size makes it less useful for activities like watching videos or playing games. The Xperia U also has limited storage space for apps and media files, a relatively basic 5-megapixel camera, and runs an older version of Android. On the plus side, its battery life is better than many current smartphones, in part thanks to that smaller screen. Despite its downsides, Canadian shoppers looking for a small, wallet-friendly smartphone may want to at least consider the Xperia U, given that it's available for free with a three-year contract from some carriers. … show more

The Xperia U is one of the best smartphones we've seen for under £200. For this price you get a capable handset providing higher performance than some more expensive rivals – all with a fantastic screen and a two-day battery life.

The android 2.3.7 it came with is nice to use, so I don't even mind waiting for ICS much. There was some bloatware on it (McAfee), but most of it is...
