Detailed review
The only prior experience I had with an eReader was with a 1st generation Kindle that a family member owned. The first feature that I loved was the multiple ways to navigate the device. There was the generic turn page button and a touch screen.

To help alleviate the touch screen, the Sony Reader comes with a slide out pen. This makes it very easy to use some of the other features such as highlighting text to create notes or bookmarks, looking up the definitions of words through a double click and even creating notes through your own handwriting.

The Daily Edition comes with a 3G network that allows you to access the store to purchase and download books wirelessly. This was very handy when I finished my book in the airport and was craving my next book. I did have some hiccups and errors with the Sony Store when accessing it through the 3G network but they have seemed to go away.

My major drawback with this eReader is it is difficult to read in dark lighting. I believe this is due to the ink technology that most eReaders are using. However, I have bought a book light to throw on the side of it that helps out in these situations. I would recommend to anyone I know. Hope this helps!
