I find it weird to see the new Sony ereader only having a 3g antenna for its wireless connectivity. Moreover, the new wave of ebooks tend to have wireless connectivity only over 3G (or gprs). With a wifi antenna I reckon that the device would be more practical in use and would generate more freedom. So why no wifi integration in this ebook reader?

Is it Locked to Carrier?
Does anyone know if this product is sold locked to AT&T? i.e. requiring service contracts with AT&T? or is it sold separately of service, but only offered through AT&T?

What kind of touch screen does this have? Is it multitouch or finger based or pen based. Is there a keyboard? Or just simple commands?

I found this bit of news pretty interesting: "According to Sony's Haber, the new version of its online book store will allow users to enter their ZIP code, and determine whether the local library offers electronic versions of its books. Sony Reader versus Kindle
Before I purchased my Kindle, I looked at the original Sony Reader. I was impressed, but not impressed enough to purchase it over the Kindle. Now that I've used the Kindle for a while, here's why I think the new Sony will not kill the Kindle. I'd be interested in others thoughts as well: 1) Selection.
