Detailed review
The PRS-505 is the best for the money because of its free access to Google Books, the entire content of which is free. This reader is easy to use and battery life is excellent. It is also, in my opinion, the most attractive of currently available eBook readers. The fact that is does not download books wirelessly can be a blessing or a curse. I appreciate the absence of wireless connectivity because book purchases must be more deliberate. I have found the software easy to use. The Sony eBookstore maintains a list of all purchased items which can be downloaded to my computer's library as I wish. I can then select which items to load onto the reader. For ease of use, I try to keep the number of books on the reader at about 30, as there is no search function, only various forms of automatically generated indices: author, title, date downloaded, etc. I have also created a "Read" folder as that is an interesting way to keep track of which books have already been completed.
