The PlayStation Eye delivers on expectations in terms of features and capture quality ... with a smoother frame rate and slightly crisper on-screen image, as well as a nice auto-focus capability that does a reasonable job at keeping up with what's going on in front of it.

A clever way to pair the familiar physicality of collecting and handling real cards with the offbeat peculiarity of playing a pseudo-robotic computer opponent. It's therefore tough to identify who is in the audience for since its appeal seems more novelty- than necessity-driven.

It's possible that some of these clarity issues could be worked out in a firmware update as some of what's happening here could be software-based (like the green tint to some images), but the darkness and close focus issues will likely stay for good.
