The PS3 has grown into a capable system that does almost everything the Xbox 360 can do, and many things even better. As a home theater box it's impeccable, and it's getting better with every update. As a gaming machine the lineup of exclusives is impressive.

Overall, I am impressed with the system's potential. The graphics power is there and once developers have had the time to tap into it, things should change a bit. In fact, I think we'll see great things from the second generation of games from the PS3.
Read the full review →A solid, reliable and user friendly gaming and entertainment console. Not only you can play games in HD resolution, but you can also watch Netflix, browse the web and listen to Internet radio.
Read the full review →The high-end Sony PlayStation 3's larger hard drive and ability to play PS2 games makes it a worthwhile alternative to the cheaper model--so long as you're willing to wait several months for the more promising exclusive titles to hit store shelves.
Read the full review →It may cost more, but as a high-definition gaming system and a high-quality Blu-ray player, the PlayStation 3 slays the competition.
Read the full review →The PS3 looks like an expensive box at first, but seems less so when you compare its cost to the cost of a stand-alone Blu-ray player, a high-end PC graphics card, the Xbox 360 with its HD-DVD add-on, or even a Media Center PC.
Read the full review →A very impressive machine, if only the games and the movie selection were at the same level as the console this would be a no brainer. Hopefully for UK readers, by the time the console launches here both issues will be resolved.
Read the full review →It's also consistently voted as the best BluRay player on the market. Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's Playstation 3 have comparable games and hardware quality in real world terms. Sony excells with its Cell processor, but Microsoft has the better software. I say better, as in...
Read the full review →This console is quite possibly the number one used device in my home theater system, and I hardly play games. Don't get me wrong, the gaming experience is amazing as far as graphics and complexity of the games created for the console, but media center capability is by far the coolest...
Read the full review →I have had my PS3 for about 8 months now and love it. All the games look great in HD and most of them are really fun to play. Also the fact it plays Blu-Ray movies is awesome. Call of Duty: World at War, Resistance 2, GTA 4, Orange Box, and Infamous are my top games so far. The PS3 by far has the...
Read the full review →The first thing that turned me on to the PS3 was it's potential. Whenever I look into buying a new gadget, the first thing I think about isn't what it is now, but what it could be in a year or two. It's a risk/reward consumer strategy that's probably flopped on me more often...
Read the full review →I had an early generation PS3, so support for 95% of PS2 games was native, and I had no issues. I understand that's changed now for about 1-and-a-half years. I'm a big PC gamer, but I like Action/Adventure genre on a console. PS3 is pretty kick-A#$ in that respect. Graphics are...
Read the full review →As I said in my 360 review, I'm a mature gamer (42), own all three of this current gen of consoles, and used to own a shop that rented and sold dvd's & games. I've had quite a bit of experience with this gen of consoles, not just first hand, but from lots of people that used to...
Read the full review →I have had for over 1 month and it has already froze up on me while playing, twice. But besides that it is an excellent system.the blu-ray player is awesome, ive watched all of Planet Earth on it and it looks amazing. The graphics are excellent. Playing PS one games on it is pretty weird...
Read the full review →Are you looking to get the most bang for your buck? If so stop no farther than the Sony Playstation 3. Not only is this a amazing video console, it is probably one of the best Blu-Ray players that money can buy. What makes this such a great Blu-Ray player? It can receive updates online, easily!...
Read the full review →Ok, so bias ahead, I'm more into PC games. That said, I have the PS3 and the Xbox, and Xbox has more games that I like. But really, that's a moot point as I haven't played a game on any console in something like 4 months. That aside, I wanted to use one of the devices for all my...
Read the full review →I'm sure that this console is great for hardcore console gamers, but for someone like me, it's not at all worthwhile. In retrospect, I should have saved $200 and just bought a Blu-Ray player. There just aren't enough good, two+ player games out there. Where are the simple games...
Read the full review →First of all I own both 360 and PS3. The PS3 only games are ok, in some cases very good, but that is the games. The console is another thing. For a device that was in development for a year longer than the Xbox 360 it is a joke. Most games that take the full power of the 360 just don't...
Read the full review →thumbs up to sony for having a great hardware that isn't known to fail on you. however their cross bar browser gives me a headache. i really dislike it. it looks simple to do stuff but it isnt. one thing i love about the ps3 is the fact that it comes with a wireless controller with a usb...
Read the full review →The PS3 is in my opinion, the best console on the market to date. Setting aside the fact that is plays the best looking games and the fact that it is a top of the line blu-ray player, the PS3 is an amazing media center. Hook it up to your home network, install some software on your computers, and...
Read the full review →The PS3 is a great system to round out a new media center. For starters, it's a great blu-ray player. What makes it great as a blu-ray player is that whenever a man update for all blu-ray players (BD Live, Profile 2.0) happens, the PS3 will be among the first to get the latest technology....
Read the full review →Got my PS3 back in september '08 right after the release of the 80gb version. Got it set up on my Samsung 40 inch lcd and got blown away by the crisp image and mature feel of the Xmb. I'm a real sucker for clean and slick design and the PS3 really delivers on that point. Anyway,...
