Price of the Next Generation of Video Games
Talk of the next generation of home consoles is starting to appear on nearly every video game website. It got me thinking about what the price will be per game. With every generation, the prices of games have increased by $10.
Now I don't know about everyone out there, but $59.99 is my limit and the game has to amazing for me to even consider purchasing it at that price. I do most of my shopping on Amazon.com and I wait for their video game sales.
Yet I can't say that I feel confident that games...

PlayStation 3 3D Display Impressions
Today, Sony came over at the university I attend and showed off the PlayStation 3 3D Display. It's not going to be out until November but the Sony employees were confident that it'll be out before Black Friday considering that it's the biggest shopping day of the year.

Alright, who will be playing the Battlefield 3 beta and on what system?
It's one of the most anticipated games of the year. I've long been a Battlefield fan over the Call of Duty series, so I'm super excited. Are you?

Reason #25,697 why I won't buy a PS3.
Sony is going to start banning people from PSN unless they sign a new TOS that waives their right to sue them in the event of another security breach.

Anyone want to buy a PS3 cheap? So it seems Sony kept usernames/passwords in an unhashed plaintext file and maybe even credit info.

Sony now allowing saving to the cloud for PSN Plus subscribers.
Alright, this is something that has been a long time coming -- saving your games in the cloud! This is especially helpful, considering if the HDD in your PS3 decides to die, you're basically screwed (unless you've been meticulous about backing up your saves). i never use it and it's no guessing why. the ps3's web browser is the worst browser i've ever used.
(sometimes i get lazy and don't feel like going to my computer, hence the ONLY reason i attempt to use this p.o.s.) i feel as though there's some hidden option that i'm not selecting or something for the reason why it's so bad. a simple task like facebook, which mind you is on the home page of the internet when you log onto the browser is complete anus! i put my username and password in and i get the logo, icons at the top of the page and A WHITE SCREEN. i thought it could...

Who here has hacked their system? How do you feel about it? I have hacked my system but so far the homebrew options are extremely limited.

so now that netflix is getting rid of the add to dvd option while using a streaming device i can only think of the negatives.

I'm looking to cancel my cable tv subscription and moving to streaming from the internet. I was considering either Roku, Apple TV, or possible PS3.
My tv is rather old(CRT) and I was wondering if I would run into issues with these devices?
Three things I love about the PS3 that have nothing to do with games:
1. The XMB. It is a much cleaner and easier way to navigate. Now, once you get into the Playstation Store it is a mess just like Xbox Live. But, the XMB is where you will spend most of your time. 2. Using an old laptop as a "media server" and streaming video to the PS3 using PS3 Media Server. So far this has worked very well with my Mac and PC. And has stifled my thoughts of getting a Boxee or Apple TV. 3. Being able to control the PS3 using my TV remote. Now, this is probably only...

Can anybody recommend a remote control for the PS3 that is more DVD-like?
Although I have no problem with the game controller, certain members of my family are having a hard time adapting to a game controller as a DVD remote.
