Detailed review
I do really like these headphones as they have hit my all time most used from everything I have owned.
First is the comfort and Shure really hit a home run on this front. They go in and our easily and there is not much cable noise out there. I've had them in on flights across the globe and not even a hint of fatigue. Can't say that for any of my previous in ears including the Shure E3c, Creative EP-630, Bose In Ear (Junk), Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5.
The sound is although very good and some of the best out there, there is some concessions here. The treble response is slightly shelved down from the other ranges. For bad recordings it can be quite a bonus but it sometimes takes a little sparkle off the good ones. Since the iPod Touch has no customizable EQ, you have to live with one of the presets. My Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 don't have nearly as recessed treble but can really bring out the ugly in a bad recording. I am nitpicking though as I often compare the sound to the uber stereo at home and neither should be put up to that task.
I have had it for some time and mistreat them regularly. They just always come out of my pockets, bags, coats, piles off my desk, and running around with no issues. Can't say the same for my Ultimate Ears Super.FI 5 as they had been replaced under warranty, needed a new cable as the contacts had failed internally, and need new ear inserts more frequently.
