They're heavy and bulky—and they sound terrific. Response is effortless and natural throughout the sound spectrum. Low- frequency response is nothing short of amazing: You can actually feel the lowest notes before you can hear them. quote

If you're thinking of using the HD 280 Pros with an iPod, you won't be disappointed. The headphones' resolution came through loud and clear with ours. That said, Sennheiser's HD 555 headphones sounded bigger and richer, so if portable use is a priority, we'd go with them.

I got these a few weeks ago to use in the fall at college to drown out extra noise while studying. I can tell already that these are going to do the job and then some. The sound is clear and full. There isn't any head-pounding bass, but it's not absent at all. Small noises in the music...

I'm a wannabe DJ. One prerequisite to being a super cool DJ is to have a set of huge headphones and wear it so that only one ear cup is covering the side of your head. So in meeting the requirements of being a DJ, I decided to buy huge headphones. I didn't want to be too cliche...

I've had these for about 3 years now and they still function perfectly. Every part is replaceable which is really important if you give them heavy use like in the studio After prolonged use a lot of headphones fail at the connection either by the jack or going into the speakers. These still...

I love these headphones. I wanted circumaural headphones and these are some of the best for the price. They aren't noise canceling but they don't need to be because the large pads around the ears block almost all the sound. I'm no audiophile but I think these headphones produce...

I had used the Sennheiser HD 205's for a couple years, but they hurt my ears after wearing them for a few hours. The earphones sat ON your ears, and were very tight. So I looked into a set of Sennheiser headphones that would sit OVER my ears, but also sounded great. The Sennheiser HD 280...

Quite simply put, these are probably the best headphones you can find for ~100USD. They sound great, they're generally comfortable and they're very well built. I can't recommend them enough.

I love these headphones. I recommend them to everyone looking for a good pair, and use them on set for recording dialog. Excellent isolation, they don't bleed into mics in the studio, and you will hear details in the sound, like the Sony 7506s, that you won't hear elsewhere.
