The WH-205 can be picked up cheaply on fleabay, and while they're fairly respectable in themselves (if your phone / device works with them that is) the real value IMO are the clear silicone sleeves they ship with. They have a noticeably higher overlap towards the back of the sleeve than regular Sony EX-style eartips and offer more isolation, and are compatible with earphones I've tried from Sony, Sennheiser, JVC and more.
Just want to let you know that Sennheiser in cooperation with Amazon realised an' eco-friendly' version of the headphones - the packaging is only the differentiator - its 100% cardboard. Looks very elegant, and is a nice touch. I am very disappointed that Sennheiser didn't even mention that the 'ear canal headphones' are really the CX 300's.
Is it possible to change product images on gdgt.com? The pastel pink image (which I couldn't imagine is the most popular color variation) has been bothering me =P
I've had these for a couple of years and have used them a lot! Very happy with them. However; recently I discovered that the sound level in the right earbud was lower than the left one. I expect that this is due to grease building up over the years. Is there any reasonable way to clean a set without destroying it?
