Conclusion: Pass on it
With its fast USB 3.0 interface and 7200 RPM speed, the Seagate Goflex Turbo might sound like a great option if you've got a relatively new laptop and need to back up a lot of files on the go. But the series maxes out at 750GB, at a price of about $150, while Seagate's FreeAgent GoFlex series will give you 1.5TB — and USB 3.0 — for the same price. The FreeAgent's drive spins at a slower 5400 RPM, so if you need to run applications or stream media from an external drive, or do ongoing backups of large files, you could consider the Turbo. However, there are other high-capacity, high-speed portable drives available at better prices.

Similar to previous GoFlex portable drives, Seagate's GoFlex Turbo makes a great companion for any traveler with a laptop. Its added features, however, might not justify the higher estimated price.

I'm sort of surprised how slow this drive is, considering the USB 3.0 aspect of the drive. It's small and portable, but if I had to choose again, I'd go for something with more speed.
