With available capacities as high as 4TB, and optional adapters to connect it to high-speed Thunderbolt ports, Seagate's FreeAgent GoFlex Desk External Drive should be able to handle your data-storage needs for years to come. The drive is fast, quiet, relatively compact, and includes handy features like an LED available-space indicator. It also comes with good automatic backup and file-encryption software, which make it easier to actually use the drive to back up your data.
