Conclusion: We like it

Like its desktop sibling, Seagate's portable FreeAgent GoFlex drives connect to your computer using USB 3.0, and optional adapters are available to connect them to FireWire 800 or Thunderbolt ports. The maximum capacity of 1.5TB should satisfy most of your on-the-go needs. If you absolutely need more space, Western Digital's My Passport holds up to 2TB, though it lacks the FreeAgent's connectivity options.

Overall Seagate’s GoFlex system is a nice addition to the external storage market. ... if you use a PC and a Mac or you are concerned about USB 3.0 landing soon it gives you an ideal upgrade route for a fraction of the price of a new drive.

Not crazy about RAID 0 on portable HDD's, so I only plug it up when I specifically need to use it. As a portable video storage device, it's pretty great.

Small, portable, bus-powered, and packed with a whopping 1.5TB of storage space. For around $149 online or at your local big box store, there's a lot to love about this drive. Sporting USB 3.0 support, it is also among the fastest portable drives available. Possibly the best $150 I've spent this...

The Seagate Go Flex drive comes in a broad range of capacities. I have the 1.5TB drive which is fairly decent for carrying a lot of content and allocating a part of the drive for Time Machine backups. The software shipped with the drive is easy to use, offers capacity gauges and advanced failure...
