- Speed USB 2.0, would have been faster with Firewire 800
- Durability Had to return the first one after 2 days after it just stopped working. Second one hasn't had any issues though for ~2 years.
- Portability It's not made for travel, but it's pretty small so you can toss it in a bag if you need.
- Design and form factor The white/silver colors and white wires make it "match" the mac look.
- Noise Sometimes, it just randomly makes a clicking sound...kinda scary.
Detailed review
1.5 TB drive, which will stand vertically or horizontally. Had to return the first one I bought when it stopped working after 2 days. Since then been pretty satisfied with it. Went with the USB 2.0 only because even though I mostly use it w/ my MacBook Pro I sometimes use it on a windows machine without firewire, so I am sacrificing a little speed for the convenience factor.
The one complaint I have that worries me is that sometimes there's a clicking sound. it's done this since I got it without any issues and from reading on the web, this is pretty common with these drives. But it's still kind of unnerving.
Overall, good drive though.
