Price under $400, which is really a low price camcorder, including 30x zoom. 35mm wide angle. Weight is light enough and portable (about 210g-240g with/without battery). Full HD quality, Dual-cam, SDHC memory storage - which is a bit cheaper while comparing with Compact Flash. Support H.264 codec who is great because easier to manadge than AVCHD-Lite. However, be careful that youhave a computer powerful enough to playback the Full-HD 60i (1920x1080 60fps) video ... Could get laggy screen. pity...

Thanks to the built-in USB cable, sharing your photos or video online (on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) is as easy as plugging into your computer. Once you have plugged into an internet-connected PC, your data will automatically go to the chosen destination. This camcorder differs from the similarly priced VPC-GH3 model in that it has dual microphones and integrated USB arm, and lacks the fold-out LCD display (opting instead for a simple Flip Video design). There are color options available...

I don't have a lot of time at the computer this evening, so I'll make this brief. I just wanted to post a review online about this device in a forum I think would be useful for prospective buyers. Here's how it breaks down: The Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG102 is an OKAY camcorder. It's nicely designed, decently built, and performs well enough in high light levels, as well as in macro mode. The SD card slot (SD, SDHC and SDXC capable) is accessible while the camera is closed (bonus...

This is a lot smaller, but retains all of the functionality. 10 megapixel stills are looking good, if a little tricky to take. The HD video footage is very clean, though it likes you to give good lighting to your subject. The sound is also good, with a little background noise. So far I have unboxed the product on my YouTube channel and will be uploading the product tour next week, followed by a full review. Any questions, please ask away.
I find that the reflective surface of the monitor on this camera is unfriendly to the best angle for daytime photography, sun over your shoulders. So I went to the reliable folks at Hoodmanusa.com, who provide monitor sunshades for nearly every type of display. Sure enough they have a model, H300, which you can buy directly or on eBay, for a fair price. The Hood is a cube roughly 31/2" by 3 by 2.5, collapses flat, and slips on to the camera's swing-out monitor with an elastic band. it...
My Only complaint about this camera is the power save mode. It seems that when the camera is on battery it will automatically stop recording video after the power save timer has been reached and the maximum setting is 10 minutes. that feature disables itself if you've got the camera plugged into power, but the only way to plug it into power is to buy a $30 DC adapter battery pack and a $30 AC adapter to plug into that. I think half the price of the entire camera just to run it on direct...

Are there other media players for this phone? I would particularly like one that can pause the playback when shutting down the player then resume from the same spot when the player restarts.
This is a thread much like that which I made for the VPC-CG11 when I originally had hoped it would come to North America. That thread can be seen here: http://discuss.gdgt.com/sanyo/xacti/vpc-cg11/gener... The concept of simple: This thread is a spot to pool sample images and videos from this device. If any of those stopping by or on the want list happen to come across anything, please post. I have been looking at the internet for sample footage from the CG102 since I...

Still a month or so away from release, the gritty specs of the VPC-CG102 are still relatively unknown. This thread is dedicated to discovering, discussing, or theorizing as to what those specs may be. Sanyo's Xacti product lines across national borders seem to consist of core devices with some major alterations between regions. I believe this to be the case with the VPC-CG102 and Asia's DMX-CG110 -- a handheld camera that has (as far as I can tell) an identical chassis. Furthermore, it...

The audio guide of my Sanyo Cg10 Xacti doesn't want to function, even after turning on the guide on the menu screen, Am I missing some steps. Just got the unit 2 days ago, and now the audio guide doesn't prompt me anymore, even after turning the guide on. Can anyone help me? Thanks.
This video camera can be used as a webcam on PC's using the included software. Is there a solution similar to this, but for Macs? I would like to use this camera with UStream or other services. Does anyone know a way to do this? Is there a driver meant for this available for Mac (OS X 10.5.8)
