After taking apart this player to try to fix it, I discovered that a chunk of the circuit board had pulled off on two different players. Thus, I could not fix it with a simple solder. They were junked, which is too bad because it it seems like a nice interface. Also, rockbox installs on it easily...

I bought the c250 for one reason: recording lectures in class. It does an amazing job. I leave it recording for an hour on my desk, then after class, I can easily drag and drop the recorded file onto my MacBook and archive it. It's small enough to leave in my laptop bag, and the battery is...
