Bought 3 of these (8GB) when Microsoft added USB drive support to the Xbox 360.

They work great, except for the fact that they sometimes want to retract when I am trying to plug them into the 360. Keeping your thumb on the "switch" as you insert it seems to stop that from happening, though.

I've had the Fuze for a few months, and it is a nice little player. The main thing I listen to is Podcasts, with a few audiobooks thrown in every now and then. But that where my issue lies, and this is not TOTALLY the Fuze's fault, but it's by no means exempt from blame. Has anyone figured out how to change the date modified, or for that matter the date in general on the Sansa Clips? Every time I copy pod-casts or audio-books over the date is always sometime in 2005. Any help would be appreciated.

You would think these small clip-on players should be ideal for exercise. In fact, the only reason I bought it was that I didn't want to carry a phone when I was out running. That's why it boggles me why it doesn't have a stopwatch function, especially because the two other Sansa models I previously owned both had it.

Look into portable applications if you aren't already aware of them! A whole slew of programs that run under Windows from a USB flash/hard drive and leave minimal if any traces behind on the host PC. Why be frustrated by someone else's PC when you can temporarily co-opt it for your own Porpoises! (Porpoises don't have hands so they will need your help with the computer, even temporarily.)

Really want the 8GB but can't find it

I've came very close to getting the original Clip but never did. The lack of a micro SD slot was what held me back, so when I saw this, I had to have it, but I can't find the 8GB anywhere. I've seen the 4GB at Best Buy but that's it. I leaving for a trip on Tuesday, so retail is the only option right now. Anybody track one down at a local retail store?

Wierd volume issue when connected to large headphones

Hey guys, I havent googled this at all, so It might be discussed elsewhere, but one thing I have noticed with mine is that if you have some nice larger headphones (in my case, some Sennheiser 555's) connected to the clip, and try to turn the volume up, the device completely wigs out and stops playing music. Once you turn the volume back down it plays fine. Am I the only one who has noticed this?

Why I Have This Player

I have this player for FLAC. That's it. It's the best player on the market that does FLAC. I wish the other major players would get on the bandwagon and give me freaking FLAC and Ogg. The damned codecs are free.

The Sansa View's "fast" forward is so slow that it effectively doesn't have one. And given how long it's been since the last firmware update I'd guess that SanDisk has no intentions of fixing the problem. (Even if they were willing to admit that there is a problem to be fixed.) This is too bad as otherwise the View is a nice player, especially when purchased as a refurb.

Does anyone know a way to dismantle and recouple the sansa clip+?

Mine seems to have an issue whereby once connected to a computer it shows connected but windows/ubuntu show device error and it also doesn't charge.I've googled and found a way to charge but i'm unable to use the inbuilt memory only the memory card. I believe that once opened i'll be able to fix it as the problem seems to be from the USB port. Anyone????

The problem is that 4GB is small compared to modern flash drives, and I can't seem to find a newer and bigger model. Did they stop making them like this?

Every time i plug this USB key to a windows machine launches a software from sandisk, i already formated and even if a plug it to a Mac it doesnt show any software on the Key, is there a way of get rid of this software?

I've had my Sansa for awhile now, but never use it because hooking it up to my Mac makes it lock up! I could just load music onto the SD, but that's a pain. Anyone have any experience with this problem?

What do you think about the video playback? I choose this primarily as a cheap portable to connect to my children's portable DVD player in the Van. Transcoding took a long time and I haven't found out what to set the video resolution to otherwise. Anyone have any hints?
