It's solid, stable, feature-packed and incredibly stylish for the price, and we don't think it's an exaggeration to say it might single-handedly raise the bar for what a mid-range smartphone can be -- compare to the Samsung Transform we reviewed last year.

Both my children are sad to see the Sidekick 4G review unit go back, which definitely says something. ... But even I’m a little wistful as I box up the device. The Sidekick 4G is just as capable as my Nexus One handset, and in some ways, even more so.

Read the full review →Thanks to a best-in class keyboard and fast data speeds, the Sidekick 4G is a great value-priced Android phone for messaging mavens.
Read the full review →The T-Mobile Sidekick 4G continues the Sidekick's legacy as an excellent messaging device and also serves as a great entry-level smartphone.
Read the full review →The Sidekick might not have the specs to compete with some of the high-end super smartphones out there, but it is excellent for social networkers or first-time smartphone owners.
Read the full review →Overall, the Samsung Sidekick 4G gives a modern update to the traditional look and feel of the old Sidekick handsets, but it suffers a bit from some odd hardware-design choices, and from software quirks.
Read the full review →The T-Mobile Sidekick 4G is no device to simply forget about. The device has a lot of potential, and should attract quite a large crowd if people are simply willing to accept change and give it a shot.
Read the full review →Granted that it isn’t the best looking Sidekick we’ve seen, we’re more than pleased with the drastically customized Android experience and its bevy of messaging oriented services that are no doubt appreciable on so many levels.
Read the full review →My big sticking point is that it really loses the spirit of the original Sidekick. Sure, it looks and acts similar, but the Android 2.2 user interface lacks any of the real UI elements from the Danger-designed devices (such as the carousel menu). For the Sidekick purist, that may be a dealbreaker.

Read the full review →As an old Sidekick user, I can confidently say that this will definitely appeal to Sidekick users from days of yore, and it might even steal some of the kids who flocked over to BlackBerry when Sidekicks started slipping and taking a back seat to everything else.
Read the full review →T-Mobile’s Sidekick 4G delivers the same great keyboard and hip posturing the line is known for, but falls short where more modern handsets deliver.
Read the full review →While we were slightly disappointed with the lack of flash and the 3MP camera, overall the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G has been a stellar addition to the Android line-up. ... The consistent key action and the solid build will satisfy not only a business customer, but also teens who focus heavily on...
Read the full review →The only real issue i have with this phone is that it continues to freeze, which was what Samsung said they fixed. Its the worst... my old cricket Huawai was far better. I have done everything they said to do to fix the problem with no success, I am now moving on to a newer phone (LG Doubleplay)...
Read the full review →This phone is an unsupported hunk of crap. It is clunky, the reception sucks, it crashes daily. Google Freakin Maps crashes this phone. A smartphone without google maps is basically not smart at all. The default mail app is clunky. (thank god for Gmail salvaging that). The processor is more...
Read the full review →I love the new Sidekick. It has an awesome keyboard and is fast. The only criticisms would be that it comes with some bloatware and it occassionally crashes. The bloatware can be removed if you root the phone. Supposedly the crashes are a Samsung issue that has been fixed on other phones, so...
Read the full review →Great phone. Starting freezing a lot so I gave it away. I love the 5-row keyboard. I love the front facing camera.
Read the full review →Okay. First off, I will admit that it does freeze often. If you're a power user that's gonna install every app and game possible, don't bother. Again, THIS PHONE ISN'T FOR POWER-USERS. AT ALL. It's for the casual user that wants some multimedia, a cool form factor, great messaging features, and...
