I had a love affair with this phone for a few months, tinkering with it and trying out different apps. But lately I have grown tired of a few things. -The onscreen keyboard is horrific. -I continually have to take a pencil and reset the thing to keep it running smoothly. -Verizon ROM update left me with some annoying bugs, such as messages not vibrating and not being marked as read. -Screen itself is low resolution and has caused the device to show its age faster. -Needing a headphone adapter...

Hi, I finally made the jump from my underpowered Treo 700w to the Omnia a week and a half ago and love it. I wanted a device that could do it all (replace my camera, mp3 player, etc) and Omnia fits the bill. What are some ways to get high quality video playback on the device? I have the Google you tube application but the video quality is not that good. Some websites stream mobile video but the quality is not always there. www.m.mlb.com has mobile video in mp4.h264.acc.http for download that looks great. My only video source has been the Zune Marketplace and the video for the device is not that good. Where can I get some DivX/

Not sure if anyone has seen this yet (it's nearly as old as the internet), but as anyone seen the unboxing video for the Samsung Omnia (i900)? Talk about a lot of buzz and flair. There is an error in the Windows 7 Usb driver that causes your computer to crash hard in the middle of the flashing. I was able to recover from it, but it got very exciting for a while, and I was very close to bricking my phone. I will post the tools you need to bring it back here later when I'm not at work.

On Modaco, they are working on port Android to the Omnia. So far, they have the OS booting and the touch working, and are moving on to the GSM and other drivers.
