My family is going on a trip and I want to convert some DVD movies for our Galaxy Tab. I tried some converters and they surely extracted great videos, but it takes quite a long time to finish conversion. I expect one converter can do quick conversion while remain great video quality.
I realize that you might turn it off if it freezes or if it needs to be rebooted. But does anyone turn it off for long periods, like days or weeks? Is it not better to just leave it in stand-by mode?
I've read that it was supposed to have been released in the US in August, but that I believe was just for Sprint. I am using T-mobile (the first to release the device) and still nothing. I am beginning to think that DT is keeping T-mo so busy with the AT&T merger, that they don't have time to setup the Tab for the next release.
I find myself using my iPad most often in the bathroom.. Especially when I'm taking a bath ... Am I crazy? I also own a kindle and I do use it in the bath a lot, but not as often.. Needless to say that I have protective sleeves for both. (Or u can use those zip bags. I find they work quite well too.) Now, how I wish there's something that would allow me to take these gadgets into the sauna! Hahahah!

I feel like the marketing push for tablets is huge right now and I am wondering why I should even care about this category... If I have a smartphone for my on the move needs and a laptop at home, why would I want to add another device into my life?
It seems that a lot of companies have just ignored exchange rates and are fleecing european customers.... With the announcement today of the Galaxy tab pricing in Euros ( http://www.samsunghub.com/2011/06/15/samsung-annou... ), that is more than the $ price, I'm so frustrated with this price hiking for European customers.... I understand that there are tax differences between some countries and the cost of living also...

HBO go launches after installed, and once I try to log in with my uid and password it crashes every time. It works fine on my iPad and iPhone, as well as on my computers. very odd. I have a friend with a galaxy tab 3g + wifi and it works for him. I am wondering if the lower end graphics chipset in the wifi version is not allowing it to run right? I have tried uninstalling it and clearing out the user data with no luck. Anyone else having this issue?
Love my Galaxy tab 7" however to read full pdf magazines is a bit cumbersome - too much scrolling/zooming. I was wondering if somebody had experience on reading pdfs on 8.9" tablet?
