- Reception and call quality My OG Droid gets great reception in buildings and garages and this phone just can't match it.
- Display The screen is big and vivid and displays blacks well. I had no issues with text rendering but whites and grays look like low thread count sheets.
- Battery life I haven't had any issues with the battery life and that is possibly do to previous android ownership conditioning. Charge often.
- Camera Twitpic approved, but you won't be seeing any of the images from this phone in my Flickr timeline.
- Ease of use I am going from stock android on a OG Droid to stock android on the Nexus with only a brief dabble with the Rezound. I hate the sense UI.
- Design and form factor I like the curved screen and size. I find the lack of a camera button disappointing.
- Portability (size / weight) Its big. It feels flimsy in the hand especially the battery cover. The size gives it some heft which is the only portability redeeming quality.
- Media support Google has really fleshed out the market to include many of the popular movie titles and app support for everything else makes media easily accessible.
- Durability I never want to drop it. I wish I could post pics of the abuse my droid has endured and it still works well, I lack confidence in this phone durability.
- Ecosystem (apps, accessories, etc.) It has all the apps I am familiar with and all I want.
Detailed review
I bought this phone but I am not sold on this phone. I love vanilla android and I am happy with the OS and usability. I am conditioned to using an android phone, I know to charge it often. the picture quality is a disappointment and the durability is a major drawback. However, I briefly used the HTC REZOUND and was just frustrated with the UI overlay.
The display is mostly good. The OS is great. It has the app support I want and plays the media formats that I have bought into. This phone is a proof of concept and It might have been prudent to see what Motorola produces in 3 months.
