I am really disappointed and feeling abandoned that Samsung is more interested in releasing new phones rather than providing decent upgrade support for their…
details
existing Android user base. I would be VERY hesitant to buy another Samsung product since they have not met my expectations with the Galaxy. Having said that, this phone has some pretty decent third-party support for flashing unofficial firmware to upgrade to 1.6 and I have had a great experience with the Galaxo ROM.

Comparison of Canadian Android Phones
details
I just thought I would post this for the sake of comparison. Currently there are five major android phones I was told yesterday by a tech guy that the Galaxy was "by far the worst Android device on the market in Canada." I think that's pretty harsh and so I thought I would break down the options: Canadians have five options for subsidized android phones: LG Eve HTC Dream/G1 HTC Magic/G2 HTC Hero Samsung Galaxy Nexus One and Droid do not exist in Canada yet, supposedly Telus is... Galaxy avialble on Newegg with Tmoble 3G
details
http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/08/samsung-galaxy-... Well this is a good sign for Tmo customers, the AMOLED 8gb internal memory Galaxy was just posted on newegg for $589 unsubsidized. Now i wouldn't but one unsubsidized but since it has the 1700mhz band(and really only tmobile USA uses that) chances are it is coming to Tmobile. To bad it only has 128mb of RAM otherwise this would be an awesome phone. As a side not i have no idea how i misspelled available so...

Samsung to bring 800mhz Amoled phone to sprint
details
http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/07/samsung-moment-... Looks like Sprint is getting another Android powered device, and so far one of the fastest at 800mhz, with its snazzy Amoled screen, 3.2", and they are announcing this next to the Behold 2. The phone will be called the moment and have a slide out keyboard. No word if it has the touchwiz interface like the behold 2 but we should find out shortly. Now for sprint users, which would you rather have, the...

Samsungs phones could get a lot more powerful
details
http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/22/samsung-randd-g... Well it looks like Samsung has annouced two new 1ghz processors, a 512mb RAM chip and a 5mp camera that can output at 30fps 1080p. All i want to say is that i really hope they make an android phone with all of these specs. It would very easily be more powerful the the SE phone and since the Galaxy already has an high end screen, 8gb rom, it wouldn't be to hard to make one powerful android... Read more →

Has the Galaxy enough RAM?
details
I've heard, that the Galaxy has 'only' 128MB RAM. On the other side, the HTC Hero has 288MB. I know, in general more RAM is better. But is this in the Android case really needed? What, if I will use future apps and future Android versions? Is this foreseeable, with 128MB we will go into a dead end? Overall, the Galaxy will fits me most, but the RAM. What are you thinking?

This or the Hero
details
I am about to buy a new phone and it will be either the galaxy or the Hero. From a specs perspective the galaxy wins, AMOLED is something I'm very keen to support from a qualuty and power point, but the Sense UI on the Hero makes android a much better phone by the looks of the reviews. Is it worth taking the risk that someone will port the ROM to the Galaxy from the Hero or should I just be happy with Vanilla Android anyway. this will be my first touch screen smart phone of any type, so I...
