The EX2F is a high-end compact camera with a sharp f/1.4 lens, good low-light performance, and a range of useful features, including Wi-Fi, an articulating LCD screen, a good HDR mode, and a burst mode of 10 frames per second. While the EX2F isn't quite as good as Sony's Cyber-shot RX100, it's also substantially cheaper. If you're considering Panasonic's similar DMC-LX7, the EX2F is definitely worth a look, though you may also want to check out Canon's new PowerShot S110, which brings Wi-Fi to a top compact camera.

Read the full review →A bright f/1.4 lens makes all the difference on a compact camera. Fortunately, the EX2F also comes with a range of other useful features, like an AMOLED screen to tempt buyers. If the JPEG processing was a little stronger, it would be a compelling camera.

Read the full review →So far it seems that the Samsung EX2F is something of a let-down, but that's definitely only relative to a few key competitors. The EX2F remains a serious photographic tool that concentrates on delivering high quality images with the minimum of fuss, yet can still be carried in your pocket.
