Detailed review
I had an iPhone before, which I hated with all of my heart and soul. The Epic's keyboard was a huge improvement, sparing me a great deal of frustration. It is nice to know that I won't type "fir" instead of "for" anymore. Because other than this review, I have never used the word "fir" on purpose. I am not a forest ranger.

Most of the apps that I actually used on the iPhone were easily replaced- I found another guitar tuner (why, Peterson? why won't you make a tuner for android?), cell phone as flashlight, etc.

The one major gripe I have is that the GPS/google maps implementation suuuuuuuuuuuuux, especially for navigating in a car. It takes a very, very long time for this phone to figure out where you are, approximately. Using it to navigate Manhattan is very, very frustrating- it's takes far less time to just ask somebody which way is uptown than is does for the POS to figure out where the hell it is.

Minor gripe is that you can feel the >click< of the key on the keyboard slightly before it actually registers. If you don't mash the buttons all the way down when you type, you'll drop lots of letters. Ow, my thumbs are sore.

The camera on this phone, unlike an iPhone, assumes you are smart enough to have some manual controls. The built in panorama mode is a lot of fun. Mercifully, you will not bore the shit out of your friends showing them your Hipstamatic photos.

The video, though, looks like ass.
