Conclusion: We're mixed

If you're an AT&T customer and you're looking for a smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard, the Captivate Glide is a good choice, especially now that it's available for free with a two-year contract from some sellers. Like all recent Galaxy-class Samsung phones, the Glide has a sharp display, and is fast enough to handle most Android apps, including games like Angry Birds, and streaming media apps like Netflix. Unfortunately, the phone doesn't run on AT&T's fast 4G LTE network, but instead is limited to the carrier's slower HSPA+ network. However, the only LTE-compatible phones currently offered by AT&T don't include hardware keyboards, so the Glide remains the best option if that's something you must have.

The Samsung Captivate Glide is one of AT&T's most powerful QWERTY smartphones, and at $150, it won't cost you an arm and a leg. However, the ultraflat keyboard may be more hindrance than help to all but the most dedicated keyboard enthusiasts.

The Captivate Glide is a textbook example of a mixed bag: the body skews a bit toward the chintzy side of things, but the power of its internals make for an almost consistently smooth Android experience.

If a physical QWERTY keyboard is a required feature, the Captivate Glide is probably one of your best options – definitely the best option on AT&T.
