Samsung has captured our attention, and our Editors' Choice Award, in its U.S. desktop debut, and we expect the Series 7 all-in-one PC will attract many mainstream customers with its appealing looks and accessible touch interface.

The Series 7, Samsung's first all-in-one desktop to hit the U.S. market, includes a fold-down 23-inch touchscreen, wireless keyboard and mouse, and HDMI out, so you can add a second HD display (as well as HDMI input, so you can use its display with a Blu-ray player, gaming console or another PC). So far, so good. However, its integrated optical drive isn't Blu-ray, limiting its appeal as an entertainment PC; its graphics performance is likely to disappoint gamers; and its touchscreen isn't quite as responsive as those on a typical tablet or smartphone. Samsung deserves credit for its sleek, stylish design, but there are better options available for both the home office and the living room.
