The Samsung SCH-LC11 is a good first 4G hotspot for Verizon Wireless. It performs basic connection tasks well. But advanced hotspots like Novatel Wireless's most recent MiFi line and Sierra Wireless's Overdrive Pro are beginning to include useful features that the LC11 lacks.

Overall, the fast data speed that the Samsung 4G HotSpot SCH-LC11 provides is its biggest selling point, as we got download speeds from 7-13 Mbps, depending on the device we had connected to it, and uploads from 1.43 to 4 Mbps. Overall, if you require internet connectivity and travel often, this may be the device for you. Just keep in mind that battery life is somewhat weak and upload speeds are middle of the road. In any case, that shouldn't affect most people, who only require fast download speeds, which the SCH-LC11...

In theory, this is an awesome sounding device. An LTE hotspot with ~3.5 hours of battery life that can fall back to 3G if an LTE network isn't available. Plus, it's in a portable package. Sweet! Sadly, this device seems to inexplicably drop cellular and wifi connections for no apparent reason....
