If all you want is a backlit keyboard, Saitek's Eclipse II does that very well. We wish that Saitek had also refined the key feel and added a few other features. Aside from lighting up, it doesn't offer gamers much to get excited about. quote

Call us crazy for recommending it, but its tough material and cool look are something that blows other keyboards out of the water. You can’t go wrong either. If you get tired of looking at its backlit keys, you can easily turn it off and still have a strong and comfortable keyboard to work with.

Wish it had a few macro keys, but I knew that going in. Biggest gripe: I can't set it to always start up with red backlight.

Good keyboard. Variable backlighting in 3 colors red, blue, and purple. Purple seems to be a combination of the red and blue backlighting. The design and lighting of the keyboard looks nice, and will draw favorable comments. Key action is solid, and gives good feedback to the user....

Brand new, this keyboard was almost flawless. Hands down the best key arrangement I've ever come across. A weighty metal baseplate with dense rubber grips that cling to even teflon coated surfaces. The backlight would be bright enough had they not painted over the translucent keys, although...
