Conclusion: We're mixed
The Roku Streaming Stick is designed to make it easier than ever to add streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Instant Video to your HDTV, but it doesn't work with all TVs. As PC Mag points out, "its finicky requirements keep it from being useful to all but a handful of users." All Things D, which generally found the Streaming Stick to be a "tiny, convenient device," also called it a "niche product." If you have a compatible TV (one with an MHL-compatible HDMI port), it could be worth considering -- or you can pick up the gdgt Must-have Roku 2 XS, and use it with almost any currently available HDTV.

However, it most likely won’t be well accepted by the cord cutting community due to the fact that MHL ports are a bit of rarity right now.
