Detailed review
Just a warning: This is my first smart phone so my opinion may off since I have little to compare this too.
As a phone on the VZW network this thing is great. Good coverage, no dropped calls, clear quality. I have not had a problem with this device as a phone at all. The camera, video recorder, and all of the other advertised features of this phone work great as advertised.
The extras that you get from owning a blackberry device are amazing. Simple, intuitive, but powerful interface. Great support community online. Continued upgrades to the OS performance, and the app community is very strong.
The downside to this phone, as I see it, is the lack of ability to store applications to the expandable memory card as a huge downfall. The otherdown side is that the way to fix anything is with a "Battery pull." Personally I seem to do this about once a day to free up memory. Now I'm not sure if this is because of the RIM OS on the device or poorly written application but I'm pretty sure other phones in this space don't have this problem.
Overall a great phone, great on the basics of what a PHONE is supposed to be (I can only speak of the VZW network). The extra built in frills of camera, video recorder, media player, BB messenger, email make it useful for both business and personal use. But the greatest strength is the app community creating new apps and RIM supporting them on this device.
