The typing experience on the Blackwidow is kickass. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that I love it.

With its dedicated macro keys and multiple profiles, there's no question that the Razer BlackWidow is a gaming keyboard. But with its mechanical-switch keys — rated for up to 50 million keystrokes — it's also a world-class tactile keyboard that will please the most demanding touch-typists. Like all mechanical-switch keyboards, it's loud, and you may end up wanting to pair it with a good gaming headset, so you can focus on the onscreen action, rather than the machine-gun fire under your fingertips. Razer also makes a more expensive, backlit "Ultimate" version, and a quieter "Stealth" edition, though we prefer the full, loud, tactile experience of this one.

I really enjoy the keys, macros, and the ungodly 50 million keystroke life. If you're looking into getting a keyboard that will last you a long time, I highly recommend you add the Razer BlackWidow Mechanical Gaming Keyboard to your gaming arsenal.
Read the full review →The Razer BlackWidow has converted me, from this point forward I will do my best to always use a mechanical keyboard because of the comfort they bring when it comes time to actually type and do the work that I need to get done.
Read the full review →I bought this as a secondary mechanical keyboard. I already have two Das Keyboard Model S Professional Silent keyboards. While the Das keyboard is $135, this Razer keyboard is only $80. It's probably the biggest benefit for it. Since it's not the "Ultimate" version, you don't get the USB hub, the...
Read the full review →Out of the many Razer products I've owned, I think this is only the one that meets the quality assessment. This keyboard feels extremely rugged. The Cherry MX keys are stunning. Believe it or not, you can actually type faster and better with it. 5 stars. However, some keys if use too often can...
Read the full review →I got the Mac version of the normal BlackWidow. It's a mechanical keyboard with Cherry Blue switches, so you should have done your research on those, but if you didn't be sure for a surprise. These keys are very tactile and make a very loud click sound when you type on them. I'm surprised Razer...

Read the full review →I am really happy with this purchase. This is not my first mechanical keyboard but it the cheapest I have ever bought and it also appears to be the highest quality. If you want a serious mechanical keyboard for coding or playing games, this is it.
Read the full review →Honestly, if not for the noise (yes I know, that's just part of owning a mechanical keyboard) then I'd like this keyboard a lot. As it is though, it's the worst keyboard I've ever owned. It's simply too loud. I've stopped using it in favour of a free Acer keyboard that I found at work.
Read the full review →Not portable at all. Really quite loud, although I love the sound. My roommate doesn't.
Read the full review →I've been using this keyboard for a year and a half. Its performance has been just fantastic. The best part is its price, especially compared to other mechanical keyboards. The only issue is sometimes the A or D key sticks when playing FPS, but it's only been doing that recently. I purchased this...
