Question about
Won't power on
My unit regularly gets locked up into a state where it won't power on. The TomTom site has a procedure for getting around this that involves holding down the little reset button with a paper clip for 15 (30?) seconds and then turning it on. This works, but isn't possible to do when you try to turn it on as you're driving. This has happened to me a half dozen times since I got it. It seems like it might happen when the battery runs all the way down. Anyone else have this problem?
If I haven't used mine in a while I normally am in the habit of charging it a couple of hours before using it. Very inconvenient esp. if you just want to grab it and go. I've learnt to do this as it's happened to me in the past.
When you say it doesn't turn on, is it stuck on the start-up screen? if so, hang in there.. It can sometimes take 5 mins to start up once the battery has gone dead and it doesn't know what day it is!

I used to have a problem when it would freeze while it was switched on and the battery life was terrible but I did the software reset and that pretty much solved it.
