Question about
With my HTC Hero, I used to plug it in when I went to bed, then unplug it in the morning.
I noticed, though, that when my Samsung Transform is fully charged, it gives a message saying something like "The phone is fully charged, unplug it now." Is it harmful to leave it plugged in once it's charged up?
I don't think it's a matter of being harmful but efficiency. I don't think Android devices trickle charge; when your device is on the charger and it hits 100% it stops charging until it drains to 90%. At least that's how it is on the Android devices I've had/used.

Nope. Samsung is just trying to be "green". The best thing for your battery would be to leave it charging as much as possible.
