Will you get one now?

Most likely not. If I was to have one of these show up after getting a NookColor and an Ipad2 in the same year my soon to be wife might cancel the wedding.

Only if the new batch will also be $99. For that price it would be the best photo frame on the market. If they're going to sell it for anything more than that, then they're not meeting the actual demand, which isn't for the Touchpad specifically, but for a sub-$100 tablet.

I might pick up another if I can get one of the $99 ones just to sell it.

My family already has one (thanks to the firesale) so I won't be getting another but I suppose this is a good thing for others still wanting one.

Although, HP really needs to make up it's mind. Either the Touchpad is done or it's not. Not this discontinued, everyone wants one, oh okay we'll resurrect it stuff.

Some news reports indicated that HP did this because they had supplier and assembler contracts with outstanding orders so HP decided to do one more production run to honor the contracts and finish up the raw materials and work in process goods. If that is true then don't don't expect continued production; just enough to us up existing supplies.

Yes, I already signed up for notification at HP's Web site. I loved my Palm Pre, although I've moved on to Samsung Android, and I like my iPad, too. But, my view of the future has several pads laying around the house. An iPad2 is soon to be mine as well with the original iPad going to my wife. I've used my iPad every day since I bought it for reading magazines, PDFs, books, e-mail, podcasts, and Web browsing. WebOS 3 will have these areas well covered for a few years -- probably as long as the hardware lasts.

I've been telling friends it's a great deal at $100/150. If they keep it at that price then they'll do well. If they try and price it like an iPad then they'll be back to square one.

If they sell it for $100-150 and I can actually find them, then yes, I'll even buy two if I can. Not to resell but just to have some laying around.

What do I like about this? It's driving some android tablets to go down on price too especially if it's been out for a while now like the Xoom. I wonder if this is their tactic all along to get people wanting them more.
