Yeah, now that Apple didn't announce a Tablet. Mike needs to open up some. Keep our interest.

I really hope that they'll make an announcement. I don't want one at all but I would love to see it out there to shake up the market a little bit and see what people's reactions are.

Did you decide not to put this under general discussions because you're as bummed as I am that you can't get a CrunchPad right now, and you need a little, well, support?

As most gadget fans, I have been following this development for quite a while. I believe the crunchpad's success will lie on the price and open-ness of the hardware. Apple will certainly have a dominant role in this market, especially if the app store will roll onto it, but for a portable tablet, I'm sure many will look to this if they can get away with paying a couple Ben's less than for apple's.

Yesterday Doug Aamoth (review editor for CrunchGear) did and interview with Social Nerdia where he was asked if the CrunchPad was actually coming out. This was his response.

“I haven’t personally seen it but they do have it at the office. Arrington uses one and as far as I know, they are releasing it.”

Take it for what you may. I for one hope he is right.
